The three Scores

Fundamental Score — blends only the four core fundamentals (Financial Health, Profitability, Growth, Valuation). Good for "is this a fundamentally sound business at this price?"
🔒 Full Score — blends all ratings, weighted (fundamentals + Hype + Analyst Upside + every Trend horizon + Insider Track). Better for "when should I buy or sell?" decisions.
🔒 Custom Score — your own blend. Tap the row to pick which ratings to combine. The score value stays hidden until you upgrade.

What each stat means

Financial Health — Balance-sheet strength: debt levels, liquidity, how well the company could weather a downturn. Fundamental.
Profitability — How efficiently the company turns revenue into profit (margins, return on equity). Fundamental.
Growth — Pace of revenue and earnings expansion. Fundamental.
Valuation — Whether the price looks reasonable relative to earnings, book value and cash flow. Cheaper = positive, more expensive = negative. Fundamental.
Hype — Attention this stock is getting vs its baseline (Reddit chatter, Stocktwits, news volume, Wikipedia pageviews). Rising Hype often precedes price moves — but can also signal retail enthusiasm running ahead of fundamentals.
Analyst Upside — Average professional price target vs the current price.
Trend signals — Generally available technical algorithms (moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger bands) read from price history. Four timeframes: Year (free) and Day / Week / Month (🔒 Premium, for buy/sell timing).
Dividend — Yield and stability of payouts. Higher = more income.
Analyst Consensus — Average professional buy/hold/sell recommendation, expressed as a directional score.
🔒 Insider Track — What's happening behind the scenes: insider transactions (executives/directors trading their own shares), upcoming earnings, recent SEC filings, corporate events. Insiders often act on information before it's public.

Score scale is −100 to +100. Long bars = strong signal, short bars = near neutral. The dot in the middle of each bar marks zero.

Funds & ETFs (silver cards)

You can mix stocks and ETFs in a comparison. ETFs (like QQQ, VOO) have a different stat set — non-applicable rows show — in either column. The headline row is labelled Top Score in mixed compares (vs Fundamental Score in all-stock compares) because the two scores are built from different recipes.

Composition Score — the ETF equivalent of Fundamental: expense ratio + diversification + tracking quality + size.
Expense ratio — annual fee you pay to hold the fund. Lower is better — fees compound.
Yield — distribution / dividend rate the fund pays out.
AUM — assets under management. Bigger = more liquid and stable.
Diversification — number of holdings. Broad index ETF = 500+ stocks; thematic ETF might be 20–50 (concentrated).
1-year return — recent performance (not a predictor of future returns).
Volatility — measured as beta: β 1.0 ≈ moves with the market, β 0.2 = much calmer (bonds), β 3.0 = much wilder (leveraged ETFs).
🔒 Tracking quality (Premium) — how closely the fund follows its underlying index. Loose tracking = drag from fees or daily-reset decay.

Leveraged 3× — a red pill on a card means the fund uses leverage. Not buy-and-hold — daily resets cause volatility decay over time.

How to read this comparison

The three score rows

The first block of the matrix shows three summary scores. They run from −100 (looks weak / sell signal) to +100 (looks strong / buy signal). Zero = neutral.

Fundamental Score — built from the four core business measures (Financial Health, Profitability, Growth, Valuation). Answers: is this a sound business at this price?
🔒 Full Score — combines all the ratings (fundamentals + Hype + Analyst Upside + every Trend signal + Insider Track). Better for: when should I buy or sell?
🔒 Custom Score — your own mix. Tap the row to pick which ratings to include.

What each rating means

A long bar = strong signal (positive or negative). A short bar = near neutral. Tap any rating for the full explanation.

Financial Health Fundamental

How sturdy the balance sheet is — debt levels, ability to pay short-term bills, and how well the company could survive a downturn.

Profitability Fundamental

How much of each pound of revenue actually becomes profit (margins), and how well the company uses shareholder money (return on equity).

Growth Fundamental

How fast the company's revenue and earnings are growing year-over-year.

Valuation Fundamental

Whether the price looks reasonable vs the company's earnings, book value and cash flow. Cheaper = positive, more expensive = negative.

Hype Sentiment

How much attention the stock is getting vs its usual baseline (Reddit, Stocktwits, news, Wikipedia views). Spikes often come before price moves — but can also be a warning that retail enthusiasm is ahead of the fundamentals.

Dividend

Income paid out to shareholders relative to price. Higher yield = positive score. Useful when comparing income-focused investments.

Analyst Upside Pros' view

Where professional analysts think the price should go — average 12-month price target vs today's price.

Analyst Consensus Pros' view

The average buy / hold / sell recommendation across all analysts covering the stock.

Trend signals Technical

Read from the price chart using standard technical indicators (moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger bands). The Year view is free; Day / Week / Month are Premium and useful for fine-tuning timing.

🔒 Insider Track Premium

What's happening behind the scenes — executives and directors buying or selling their own shares, upcoming earnings, SEC filing clusters and corporate events. Insiders often act on information before it's public.

Reading a row

Each stat row shows every selected stock side-by-side with a small bar from −100 to +100. Higher = more bullish.
The gold ✓ on a cell marks the winner of that row.
🔒 Locked rows show a blurred placeholder until you upgrade. Premium unlocks the full breakdown.
— in a cell means that row doesn't apply to that kind of investment (for example, "Profitability" doesn't apply to an ETF). The winner counts only the rows where both sides have a real value.

Funds & ETFs (silver cards)

You can compare a stock with a fund, or compare funds with each other. Funds use a different set of ratings — tap each one below to learn more:

Composition Score

The fund equivalent of Fundamental Score — built from expense ratio, diversification, tracking quality and fund size. Same place on the card, different recipe.

Expense ratio

The annual fee you pay to hold the fund, as a percentage. Lower is better — fees compound year after year.

The single most important number on any ETF. A 1% fee on £100k quietly takes £1,000 every year, win or lose.

Yield

Income paid out to holders (dividends or interest) as a percentage of price. Bond and dividend ETFs have high yields; growth-stock ETFs are low.

AUM (Assets Under Management)

How much money the fund manages. Bigger = easier to buy and sell, more stable. Very small ETFs can shut down.

Diversification

How many holdings the fund has. A broad index ETF holds 500+ stocks; a niche ETF might hold 20 (more concentrated, higher risk if one of its top picks struggles).

1-year return

How the fund has performed over the past year. Useful context — but past performance doesn't guarantee future returns.

Volatility (beta)

How wild the ride is vs the overall market. 1.0 = moves with the market. 0.2 = much calmer (typical bonds). 3.0 = much wilder (leveraged ETFs).

🔒 Tracking quality Premium

How closely the fund follows its index. Tight tracking = the fund is doing its job. Loose tracking = drift, usually from fees, sampling errors, or daily-reset decay (in leveraged funds).

In a mixed comparison (stocks + ETFs), the top row is labelled Top Score instead of Fundamental — because the two sides aren't using the same recipe. Non-applicable rows show —.

Leveraged 3× — a red pill means the fund uses leverage (3× or −2× the underlying). Not buy-and-hold — daily resets cause "volatility decay" that eats returns over time, even when the underlying rises.
